Xcell Security House and Finance Guinea (Xcell Guinea) is the Precious Metals Subsidiary for Xcell Security House and Finance S.A in Guinea and Partner of Xcell Swiss. Xcell Guinea has been operating in Guinea for over 7 years.

Xcell Guinea works under a Protocol with the Government of Guinea and the Central Bank of Guinea, utilizing a unique and innovative due diligence and traceability process that has gained the praises from the Government of Guinea and world renowned Refineries. Xcell Guinea adheres to the Conflict Free Gold Trading and ensures that the Gold has been collected properly, and no child labor or chemicals have been involved in the Artisanal Mining process.

Having its offices within the Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea, Xcell Guinea  benefits from a purchasing system and a Refining platform with its modern laboratories. Xcell Guinea  laboratories have the ability to refine incoming gold (dust or doré) into serialized and nominalized gold doré bars.  An amount of over 50 Kilos of gold can be processed daily.

Xcell Gold Standard

Xcell has developed and implemented an innovative compliance system for its gold operations in the Republic of Guinea that has the potential to be replicated in other nations. At present, it is the only protocol known that is being successfully used to export African gold into the LBMA system. We believe Xcell is the only private company in Africa that has successfully exported African gold into the LBMA system.  This is due to the strict standards it follows at every step of the chain of custody from mine to refinery.

Xcell Gold Standard

African gold mining and export has faced many challenges to become successful, including:

  • Lack of equipment for artisanal and small scale miners (ASM) that lowers potential production and increases the risk of child labor

  • Smuggling (lowering potential income to miners within a system that requires the use of a system of unscrupulous middlemen to buy local production at huge discounts; also lowers potential tax income to the State)

  • Environmental Damage – the use of toxic chemicals to separate precious metals from ore (causing damage to personal health and permanent damage to the land preventing the dual use for farming)

The Xcell Gold Standard solves these challenges in a manner that induces compliance via incentives to all parties by increasing production, decreasing environmental damage, eliminating the need for child labor and importantly, increasing the recovery of precious metal over existing and historically inefficient recovery methods.

Tens of millions of poor Africans rely on Artisanal and Small Scale Mining (ASM) to survive.  Issues with increasing production of ASM has plagued Africa for decades.  The Xcell Gold Standard has analyzed these problems on the ground for the past six years and have developed inexpensive technologically-advanced equipment to replace many of these functions.  Solar powered Crushers and Separators will replace the labor requirement of most women and children, freeing them up to entrepreneurial, agricultural ,and educational opportunities. This inexpensive equipment, some of which will be manufactured in-country to create even more local jobs, does not require any chemicals, creating an environmental benefit that will last for generations.
